Patented, Non-Programmatic Integration

ImageNow's patented LearnMode™ technology facilitates rapid integration with Cerner and any other application without requiring a single line of code, greatly decreasing deployment time and cost.

LearnMode uses key data from captured documents and your Cerner system to link each scanned or imported chart component to an existing patient record, allowing users across your enterprise to instantly retrieve supporting information from their Cerner screens. The results are more informed and timely patient care, a faster revenue cycle and increased productivity.

WebNow, the browser-based companion to ImageNow, gives physicians, coders and other employees working from remote locations the same convenient document access without having to install the full ImageNow client.

HL7 Integration

ImageNow can integrate with HL7-compliant Cerner systems across your enterprise. This enables your organization to build links to chart components within the Cerner system. When a chart component is imported into ImageNow, ImageNow sends an HL7 message to the Cerner application, which receives it and builds a link to the document. When a user accesses the patient record, they can instantly access the document via WebNow by simply clicking the link. Additional information, such as which user scanned the document and when it was scanned, can also be automatically sent from ImageNow to Cerner.

ImageNow can also receive HL7 messages from Cerner, automatically facilitating common tasks such as the merging of duplicate patient accounts, elimination of an outdated chart component or changing a patient's name on that individual’s ImageNow documents. This integrated approach eliminates the time and errors associated with manually updated patient information.

Web Services Integration

ImageNow Message Agent integrates with Cerner physician portals to provide physicians with instant access to chart components from the Cerner environment they’re familiar with. This server-side integration frees doctors from the physical limitations of paperwork, enabling them to make diagnoses and complete other tasks from any location.

ImageNow Enterprise Service Bus enables ImageNow to initiate a request of the Cerner portal system as the result of an action taken within ImageNow. For example, creating a new transaction in the Cerner system would be automatically initiated when ImageNow processes a new document, eliminating manual data entry.

Advanced Cerner Integration

ImageNow can also combine with systems from third-party vendors to offer embedded document management features within Cerner systems. This enables users to launch document scanning from Cerner application screens. When the documents are scanned into ImageNow and indexing information such as MRN and visit number is entered, ImageNow generates an HL7 message and sends it to the Cerner system. Using the received information, Cerner builds a document link. Later, when a user selects the link within the patient record, the document will be immediately displayed in WebNow. Without leaving the application they're familiar with, authorized users can access all the information they need to do their jobs well.

Capture Reports Directly from Cerner

ImageNow automatically captures report streams from Cerner, separates reports by patient name and/or account number, and associates individual documents to patient records for easy retrieval. Automatic alerts let you know when reports are missing, ensuring complete documentation is collected for every patient. This seamless process eliminates the cost of printing hard copies and saves time for your HIM and clinical staff.
