Ocean County Utilities Authority Selects ImageNow

New Jersey-based regional wastewater facility will implement ImageNow in conjunction with its SAP and ESRI business applications.

SHAWNEE, KANSAS — (22 Jul 2008) Perceptive Software, creator of ImageNow enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software, today announced Ocean County Utilities Authority (OCUA) has selected ImageNow for initial implementation in five departments.

OCUA is an award-winning regional wastewater reclamation system operating three treatment facilities in Ocean County, N.J. After a comprehensive search of document management solutions, OCUA selected ImageNow for its intuitive user interface and seamless integration capabilities.

OCUA will implement ImageNow in conjunction with SAP in its accounts payable and purchasing departments. With its patented LearnModeTM technology, Perceptive Software can implement ImageNow non-programmatically, regardless of the business application or department, making it a highly scalable, enterprise-ready solution.

“Perceptive Software’s partnership with SAP was an important factor in our decision to purchase ImageNow,” said Randy Martin, OCUA systems administrator. “The solution’s flexibility across departments and business applications was uncommon in the marketplace, but essential as we considered the future needs of our organization,” Martin added.

In addition to integrating ImageNow with SAP, ImageNow will also be integrated with OCUA’s ESRI application in the line maintenance, engineering and construction departments.

OCUA will utilize ImageNow Interact for ESRI in conjunction with its ESRI ArcMap application, allowing the organization to cost-effectively integrate document management with its existing GIS application. From within ESRI ArcMap, employees will have single-click access to map-linked documents. With instant document access, OCUA anticipates ImageNow will increase productivity and employee access to information.

“With our previous document management solution, employees were required to spend too much time accessing the documents they needed. Single-click document access in ImageNow will help improve staff productivity, immediately delivering efficiencies across several departments,” added Martin.

In the future, OCUA has plans to expand ImageNow to its human resources department and across the maintenance division, as well as integrate the document management suite with several other business applications.
