ImageNow Streamlines Student Records for American University in Dubai

Perceptive Software’s enterprise document management solution deployed by American University in Dubai to eliminate its paper-based student records processes.

SHAWNEE, KANSAS — (14 Feb 2008) Perceptive Software, creator of ImageNow® enterprise document management, imaging and workflow solutions, today announced that the American University in Dubai has deployed ImageNow to improve productivity and streamline its student records management.

Managers at the university were impressed at how seamlessly ImageNow integrated with its existing CampusVue systems, to provide secure electronic versions of the paper documents associated with campus management transactions.

Information Technology Services manager Frank Seifaee explains, “Our student records system was a very paper-heavy process. Because documents have to be viewed across different departments, we wanted to find a more efficient way of providing controlled access. ImageNow meets all our needs – it’s quick to implement, simple to use and has an affiliation with CampusVue.”

Administrative staff at the American University in Dubai will now be scanning documents upon receipt, and routing electronically using ImageNow Workflow to authorized personnel. With the ImageNow printer application they can also capture system-generated documents automatically, avoiding the time-consuming process of printing and scanning to archive.
