ImageNow® Scores High with Sheffield United FC

Perceptive Software’s document management solutions improve accounts and ticketing systems for professional English football club

SHAWNEE, KANSAS — (28 Nov 2007) Perceptive Software creator of ImageNow® enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software, today announced that Sheffield United Football Club has deployed ImageNow® in its accounts payable department.

Beneath the historic stands at Bramall Lane, growth in the company and its invoice volume required a step change in operational efficiency. Following a review of the electronic solutions available, Sheffield United selected ImageNow for its ease-of-use, value for money and versatility.

“The volume and value of transactions led to our previous system not working at acceptable efficiency levels, and controls over supplier payments needed to be tightened,” said Jacqui Burgess, management accountant, Sheffield United FC. “We realized that the existing system needed updating to fit the Club’s new business environment, and ImageNow has successfully done that for us.”

With careful project planning and non-programmatic LearnMode integration technology, Perceptive Software implemented ImageNow in just five days on site. The club has already seen productivity go up by 65%, with at least 260 extra invoices being processed every month.

“We prefer flexible solutions that can be used in different areas,” said Burgess. “With ImageNow, we didn’t get just one piece of software suited to accounts. We’ll easily be able to roll out ImageNow for use elsewhere in the organization.”

Within the next few months, Sheffield United will also be using ImageNow to scan and link season ticket application forms to their ticketing system, to help streamline a paper intensive process and remove the need to store hard copy application forms. The club is currently finalizing the deployment of ImageNow to its sales ledger department to improve the efficiency within the accounts receivable function.
