Capgemini Streamlines Systems with Perceptive Software

Leading IT and business consultancy selects ImageNow document management suite for human resources and payroll

SHAWNEE, KANSAS — (10 Apr 2008) Perceptive Software Ltd, provider of ImageNow® enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software, today announced that Capgemini UK plc (“Capgemini”) has entered into an agreement to deploy ImageNow to increase efficiency in its human resources shared service centre.

With a payroll operation that currently handles in excess of 5,000 documents a month, managers at Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consultancy, technology and outsourcing services, needed to improve productivity without disturbing the continuity of existing software applications.

After short-listing a number of market leading systems, Capgemini selected ImageNow for its quick and simple installation, low cost of ownership and seamless integration.

“We were particularly impressed that no changes will be required to our HR/payroll application,” explains Managing Consultant David Burch of Capgemini Consulting’s Finance and Employee Transformation practice. “There is no programming involved in integrating ImageNow with Oracle, and our new ePersonnel files will still be protected by the security systems we have in place – hence no ongoing management overheads.”

Once ImageNow is fully deployed, Capgemini expects to pursue an entirely paperless payroll system and, where possible, HR processes.
