Burnley College to Automate Document Management with ImageNow®

Perceptive Software’s enterprise document management solutions helps reduce paper waste

SHAWNEE, KANSAS — (20 Jun 2008) Perceptive Software Ltd today announced that Burnley College has selected ImageNow® enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software to improve productivity and solve archiving problems in its accounts payable and student administration departments.

Managers at the College selected Perceptive Software to streamline processes and reduce space currently taken up with paper storage. Ian Bannister, MIS Manager at Burnley College explains:

“We’re about to move into a brand new campus, created to support new ways of working and reduce our carbon footprint. Automating our document management is a big part of that, so we needed a versatile product that could be used across all departments and integrate easily with our existing systems. ImageNow will be used in Burnley College’s accounts payable to automate the invoice and approval process, including the provision of rules for workflow routing to managers. It will also remove the need for staff to print or send out purchase orders, as they will be automatically emailed to vendors.

In the student administration department it will provide an electronic archive for administrators and tutors of all inbound and outbound documents, helping them to deal with enquiries and disputes more efficiently.
