Towson University uses ImageNow integrated document management, imaging and workflow to eliminate the inefficiencies of paper campuswide. The scalability of ImageNow enabled Towson's Office of Technology Services to implement it in multiple departments. Patented LearnMode technology facilitated seamless integration with several legacy applications and the PeopleSoft 8.1 HRMS and ECS suites.
ImageNow provides the benefits of electronic document management unobtrusively and without altering Towson's existing business processes, such as undergraduate admissions. This department uses ImageNow to efficiently process more than 15,000 annual applications. ImageNow Import Agent automatically indexes and routes new online application files into ImageNow without the need for manual indexing. Towson also uses ImageNow to streamline the admissions process for 60 graduate programs. Program directors access student applications within the familiar PeopleSoft environment and applicant screens are linked to WebNow.
ImageNow security features such as assignable user- and drawer-level privileges are helping Towson administrators fulfill FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) requirements that include providing students with quick access to their records, while limiting the availability of this information with assignable user- and drawer-level privileges.
