GSL uses the ImageNow integrated document management, imaging and workflow suite to boost productivity and quicken business procedures at its Accounting Service Centre in Worksop, England. Before implementation, retrieving specific files from a paper morass was a time-consuming process that delayed invoice approval processes.
As part of a four-day implementation, ImageNow seamlessly integrated with GSL's Microsoft Great Plains suite without programming. Shadowing the Perceptive Software implementation consultant gave GSL the skills to administer ImageNow independently, and to train new users in minutes.
WebNow, the full-featured, browser-based complement to ImageNow, allows 100 users in 30 locations to instantly access and view documents simultaneously, improving project collaboration. GSL plans to extend this web-based access to 60 locations across the UK. Documents are scanned and routed to a processing queue in ImageNow, and workflow responsibilities are quickly reassigned if an employee is absent.
ImageNow reporting functionality has replaced manual invoice approval logs and enables GSL to easily track documents. This has led to the reduction of delays and more efficient processing of more than 200,000 pages per year.
